My name is Kristo Saarikoski, born in 1992, and I'm an artist/painter based in Helsinki, Finland.

I’m currently studying my master’s degree in painting in Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki.

My journey as a painter began with graffiti art in Finland. Over the years, I have experimented with different media and materials, ranging from watercolours and frescoes to oil paints on homemade canvases and sizings.

Art Residencies

Recently I have been in residencies in the Finnish institute in Rome, Villa Lante (years 2023, 2024, 2025) and in Grassina in 2022  (The Finnish Artists´ Studio Foundation)

I have paintings in following collections:  Pentti Säre’s art foundations collection, HUS art collection, Finnish Art Society’s lottery collection.

Other

I’m currently working as an art curator at the Kotka Art Biennial.

I’m also a Bachelor of Social Services and I work as an Art Instructor for persons with special needs.
